Add Metal

Create a base precious metal used by Jewellery ERP. Metal Master will later connect with Purity, Metal Rates, Products, Inventory and transaction modules.

Metal Code

Required unique ERP code. Example: GOLD.

Metal Name

Required base metal name. Example: Gold.

Symbol

Chemical symbol. Example: Au for Gold, Ag for Silver.

Default Unit

Default weight unit. Jewellery normally uses g.

Color / Finish

Optional descriptive colour. Example: Yellow.

Description

Example: Base precious metal used for gold jewellery.

Display Order

Controls list order. Example: Gold = 1, Silver = 2.

Status

Active means this metal can be used in future master dropdowns.

Example result: GOLD | Gold | Au | g | Yellow | Active.
